Aboriginal health checks
A health assessment is recommended every year for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
They ensure people are receiving the right healthcare, and encourage early detection, diagnosis and intervention for common and treatable conditions that cause morbidity and early mortality.
Clients are entitled to a $25 gift card at the completion of their health assessment and following their course of care.
BDAC provides free transport to and from appointments for people who have no other means of accessing the clinic. Medical transport should be booked when you make your appointment, or at least 24 hours in advance.
In some cases, we can provide transport to and from appointments at other local health services and to appointments outside of Bendigo. BDAC may also be able to provide financial assistance with transport.
All patients are charged under the Medicare bulk-billing incentive; there is no out-of-pocket fee for using BDAC medical services. However, some external services may charge fees.
If you would like to make an anonymous comment, suggestion or complaint, please leave it in the feedback box at reception. There are other options for giving feedback, including directly to the practice manager at any time, over the phone on 5442 4947, or via our formal complaint form.
