The Community Engagement Project Officer role will be responsible for building partnerships with key stakeholders and assisting the community with pathways into BDAC Programs and Services.

This position will develop a Community engagement strategy for the Maryborough and Castlemaine Aboriginal communities and keep the community informed via regular forums. This role will include regular travel to Castlemaine and Maryborough.  

  • Part Time (0.8eft), 4 days per week
  • Fixed Term 12 months
  • $35.02 per hour plus 9.5% Superannuation

Key Selection Criteria

  • Knowledge and experience working with the Maryborough and Castlemaine Aboriginal and or/ Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Facilitate and encourage stakeholder and community engagement to achieve objectives of the strategic direction of the communities
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to provide recommendations based on feedback
  • Ability to collect, collate and interpret feedback 
  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
