General Receptionist (12mth Maternity Leave contract) Join an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation helping empower generations belonging to strong Families, Culture and Community; Full time, 12-month fixed term maternity cover opportunity in our Bendigo North location; Access to salary packaging; A friendly, welcoming workplace Who we are; The Bendigo & District Aboriginal Cooperative (BDAC) is an ACCO (Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation) registered as a member under the umbrella of VACCHO (Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation) and represented nationally through NACCHO (National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation). BDAC provides a range of specialist services for clients based primarily in the Dja Dja Wurrung including Health and Wellbeing services, Family and Community Services and Corporate services. Position Objective; The Receptionist role reports directly to the Administration Team Leader and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to external clients and stakeholders, and efficient administrative support to BDAC teams. BDAC Receptionists are primarily responsible for triaging and managing incoming enquiries from clients, stakeholders and the public. This role will also greet clients for appointments and manage on-site enquiries at the reception desk. This position will provide a high level of customer service to internal and external clients. Triage and transfer calls to the appropriate team or worker and take messages when staff are not available. Greet clients and stakeholders attending onsite for appointments. Maintain the Meeting Room Bookings database through accurate data input Ensure Reception area and meeting rooms are clean and tidy Stock promotional materials and information for Community in waiting area. Work alongside Administration Team Leader to ensure all operating supplies are maintained including stationery, uniform orders, kitchen supplies, essential cards and broader office supplies Maintain the central mailing list and assist with organisational mail outs Liaise with the other BDAC program areas to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients and community.
