BDAC’s Bringing Them Home Worker provides a service that facilitates
healing and improves the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander people who have been affected by past policies and practices of
forced removal.
The program offers a link up service for individuals and families seeking
to find their family history and reconnect or return to traditional country.
This includes support for clients who are part of the Royal Commission
or are wanting to access closed adoption files.
The program also provides services to children in out-of-home care
seeking to reconnect with their birth family.
